Every DBE certified before October 2025 has to send in a personal narrative and a personal net worth statement, or lose certification. We help you put your own story into words and get the net worth form right. You review it, sign it and send it in.
Your narrative has to be in your own words, about your own experience. We don't make anything up and we don't write a generic story. We help you get yours down clearly and completely.
A two-minute form. We confirm your deadline and who you file with.
On your phone or computer, at your own pace, about an hour. Tap the microphone and just talk, then check the words before you send. Pause anytime and pick up where you left off.
We organize your answers into a narrative using your own words, and fill out the net worth worksheet from your numbers.
You correct anything that's off, sign, and submit to your certifying agency with our step-by-step instructions.
Under the U.S. DOT rule that took effect September 25, 2026, a general statement isn't enough. Reviewers look for:
Plus a personal net worth statement on the current form. The limit is $2,047,000, and your share of the firm, your home equity and retirement accounts don't count toward it.
Firms that don't file get a notice. Firms still without a filing after March 24, 2027 are disqualified automatically, with no hearing. Some states set earlier dates.
In Pennsylvania, more than half the firms removed in the first round were removed for not responding, not because they were denied.
One flat price per firm. No percentages and no add-on fees.
You can always refile on your own, and free help is available from your state's DBE supportive services program and APEX Accelerator offices. We're here if you'd rather not do it alone, or you're short on time.
Tell us about your firm. We'll confirm your deadline and send your interview link, usually within one business day. It works on your phone like an app: add it to your home screen and talk through it whenever you have a few minutes.
No. The rule says the narrative has to be yours, and it is. We ask the questions, organize your answers and use your own words. Nothing goes in that you didn't tell us, and you approve every line.
No one can. Your certifying agency decides. What we make sure of is that your filing is complete, specific and on time.
You do. You sign the narrative and the net worth statement and send them to your agency. We give you step-by-step instructions for your state.
We use it only to prepare your filing. It's encrypted, never sold or shared, and deleted when you ask. If a prime contractor sponsors you, they only see whether you've filed.
No. Steadcert is a private company, not affiliated with or endorsed by U.S. DOT or any state or local agency. You can always refile with your agency yourself.
Yes. Pick "Already filed, got questions back" in the form and we'll help you answer them in your own words.
